When shopping for you new touchscreen phone, you need to keep a few things in mind. Is it a good camera you`re looking for, is it a huge screen or is it purely the looks! The key to great make-up is always the base ,that is, the right foundation for your skin.Every skin type has a different foundation ..and once you find yours ,you have found a perfect solution to make that skin look just perfect!

There are various foundations available in liquids ,cremes, powder and matte etc

Do not make a choice just because the product is new .Take your pick according to what works for you best.  Here are a few tips to find out how.

If  you have dry skin

Go for cremes and liquids .These keep you skin looking even and also keep it moisturised.These do not let the dryness show up o the skin and makes it look healthy. These also give you the most coverage and is often used by TV actresses to give that perfect look.But be careful of over doing it!!one or two layers will do just fine. Liquids also help in giving medium coverage and is also not very heavy .

For normal to oily skin

Sheers are the perfect pick if your skin is naturally healthy,these give that little extra that make you look stunning. These give the lightest sheerest coverage.If you have marks on your skin ,make sure to use a concealer before the sheer or powder. These give a natural matte finish.

Make sure to never overdo make up, its a disaster!

DIET

Are you really hungry?

Monitor the fact that if you are really hungry.Just because it is breakfast time it does not necessarily mean that you have to eat a whole bowl of cerial ,eggs and toast.Consider, if you are actually hungry . If you get hungry by lunch time then eat at that time . But no untill you are hungry.

When you’re done eating, you should feel better,not stuffed, bloated, or tired.Remember..Your stomach is only the size of your fist, so it takes just a handful of food to fill it comfortably.

 

 

Drink plenty of water.

Cleched but true ,water helps a great deal in looking fit healthy  and gorgeous!People sometimes confuse thirst with hunger. So you can end up eating extra calories when an ice-cold glass of water is really what you need.Water is calorie free and it makes your skin supple and soft.Water keeps you looking  younger and healther. Also healps a great deal in your diet. When you feel hungry at odd times ,even after your meals ,fill yourself up with water or freash juice ,because that is what your body needs at that time ,dont confuse it with food.

Eat early ,eat light

Nothing works better to look fine and lose excess weight than to finish up and early dinner,witch of corse is light ,not full of fat and carbs .we all   must have heard and known a lot of these tips earlier also and we may think that we already know all this..but do we actually make these changes!!!REALLY,start now..

Winter Care

Before Going Outside in Winter:

  • Apply a heavy layer of moisturizing broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher to the face, hands, and any other skin that may be exposed. This will act as a barrier to help protect against the harsh elements and is especially important if you will be outside for any length of time. Sunscreen is important in winter . Today, several products are available that combine oily, moisturizing cream with sunscreen. If you are unsure of which product to use, ask a dermatologist.

Use a humidifier

With the heat on and the windows closed, the air inside can become very dry in the winter, making the dryness and itching of eczema even worse. Use a humidifier to place moisture in the air. If you don’t want to invest in an expensive humidifying system, smaller, relatively inexpensive humidifiers can be obtained at a local drug store. Placing two or three of these around your home will help to humidify the dry air. This can keep skin from drying and becoming cracked and itchy.

Use an oil-based moisturizer 

 The more oil a moisturizer contains the more effectively it protects against moisture loss. Moisturizers that come in ointment form contain the most oil because an ointment, by definition, consists of 80% oil and 20% water. This water-in-oil emulsion forms a protective layer on the skin and makes it more “moisturizing” than creams and lotions. Ointments are especially beneficial when humidity is low. Ointments should not be used on areas of the body that tend to get hot and sweaty.

But with proper care, we can maintain the beauty of the skin. It is necessary to understand the nature of the skin to give it the proper care it needs. Using the right products for the skin, can keep the complexion fresh and clean. Knowing the type and texture of your skin is important for choosing the right products for your skin.

We all want to be beautiful. Here is a simple truth, if you are healthy you are or can be beautiful. An important part of being healthy (beautiful) is having a good skin. There are several products in the market for skin care but the basics of skin care are very simple. Types of Skin

Normal Skin: It has a fine even texture with a supple and smooth surface. It has a proper balance between oil and moisture contents and is therefore moist and neither greasy nor dry. It looks clear and does not develop spots and blemishes. The pores of the skin are fine and barely visible. It reflects good health and needs gentle treatment.

Oily skin: This type of skin is caused by the over secretion of sebum making the skin surface oily. The excess oil on the surface of the skin attracts dirt and dust from the environment. oily skin is also prone to black heads, white heads, spots, pimples and such skin will never be clear. This type of skin needs to be cleansed thoroughly.
Combination skin: As the name suggests, it is a combination of both oily and dry skin with certain areas of the face oily and the rest dry. Usually there is a Central greasy panel consisting of the forehead, nose and chin and a dry panel consisting of cheeks and the areas around the eyes and mouth. The greasy central panel is referred to as T - Zone.

Dry skin: Dry skin has a dry parched appearance and has a tendency to flake easily. It is prone to wrinkles and lines. It is due to the inability to retain moisture as well as the insufficient production of sebum by the sebaceous glands. Dry skin often has problems in cold weather and ages faster than normal or oily skin. Constant protection is very important. It needs a moisturiser during the day and a good cream at night.

Sensitive skin: This type of skin has a fine texture and is very sensitive to changes in the climate. They show the disadvantage of bleaching, waxing, threading etc.

A report jointly prepared by the world health organisation and world Economic Foroum says India will incur an accumilated loss of $236.6 billion by 2015 om account of unhealthy diet and lifestyle ,so our careless lifestyles will not only cost us dear ,but the country as well. T he resultant chronic diseases- heart disease, stroke , cancer , diabetes and respiratory infections- which are ailments of long duration and slow progresstion , will severely affect peoples earnings. The incone loss toIndians because of these diseases, wich was $8.7 billion in 2005 , is projecte to rise to $54 billion in 2015 . Pakistan would face an accumilated loss of $ 30.7 billion with income loss increasing by $5.5 billion to $6.7 billion by 2015 . China however will be worse off . While an accumilated loss will stand at $ 557.7 billion ,the loss of income of the chinese will stand at /4131.8 billion ,almost eight times it was in 2005.

What sugar can do to you

We all love to help ourselves with a snack of choco chip cookies . And pile on ice-cream ,cheese cakes or perhaps a mud cake after each meal.And what makes us guilty is just about the extra calories or ‘I could get addicted’. But in reality things are even worse. Regular intake of sugar throws your body`s homoeostasis (equilibrium) off kilter , supresses your immunity,upsets your body`s miniral balance and lots more that you were never aware of. Here are the facts.OBESITY:Our BMI (body mass index ) is calculated based on our body weight.(measured in kg)divided by your height (measured in metres)Aperson is considered overerweight if the BMI is 25-29.9,aperson with BMI crossing 30 is considered obese, the sugar in your diet produces insulin that, in large amounts keeps weight from coming off.When we consume sweets in excess , the blood sugar level jumps violently,and the body pumps massive amounts of insulin,this makes your blood sugar levels bottom out , triggering an increase in appetite ,leading to overeating.Excessive sugar intake can cause diabetes and heart problems. If there is excessive sugar in your blood , your body will try to produse insulin to trasfer it to your cells. This ‘quintessential anti-nutrient ‘contains no vitamins or minirals.Its 100 percent carbohydrate,so it must be immediately metabolised .And the energy needed to do this drains our body of vital nutrients and has a deteriorating effect on our immune system.Excessive intake of sugar also causes hypoglycaemia -a condition of abnormal sugar metabolism resulting in low blood sugar ,the signs are weakness,excessive sweating changes in your heart beat and hunger pangs.

A balance needs to be maintained, do indulge ,but dont overeat, beacause that is where the problem starts . Maintain a healthy diet . Include everything in it. Denying yourself is not the answer, to balance ,is. Work on your attitude .

Winslet sells dress for $40,000

A dress designed for Hollywood actress Kate Winslet has been sold at an auction for $40,000 . The Titanic star sold the Vivienne Westwood creation to raise funds for Cardboard Citizens, a homeless people’s theatre company. The 32-year-old - who is ambassador for the charity - wore the red dress at a benefit, before auctioning the outfit at the end of the night. She says, “Vivienne Westwood created the dress especially for me for this occasion and it is a really beautiful piece. “I hope the winning bidder enjoys wearing it as much as I did.”

Enamelling

Enamelling is an ancient method of decorating metel objects with one or more layers of translucent enamel made from powdered glass to which metalic oxide pigmentsare applied to the surface of the metal - normally gold ,copper,silver and bronze to give color. The creation of an enamelled piece requres the combined skills of a working team of several specialist craftsmen ,starting from the designer ,the goldsmith,engraver ,enamellidt ,polisher ,stone setter and stringer.An ornament is crafted in metal and then handed over to the chitera ie the artist for the desired design which is then outlined by the thathera ie the engraver .Finallt the ornament goes through the enameller who applies different colors with brushes on the engraved design .The enamel dust of the requisite color  is poured into the grooves ,then placed in  a red hot furnace where it melts and colored liquid gets spread equally .Colors are applied in order of their hardness or powe ofresisting fire .
